Abstract
We present an analytical model of the molecular organization of
phospholipidic domains at the liquid-gas interface. The analytic model is
then used to generate a three dimensional graphical model of the domains.
The variable parameters are the molecular and domain dimensions, as well as
the angle and direction of inclination of the molecules. The model
provides, among other things, a relation between domain density and
molecular orientation. This relation is important in studying phase
transitions.
